Scoring

No scoring system. I will divide the review into two parts: Content and Layout, give a commentary on how I found your diary and a final rating, out of five. Most of the review would be on your content; I don't really care about the layout, as long as it's functionable and not a diaryland template or anything ugly along those lines. More often than not, your layout won't affect your score thing, unless your content is absolutely horrid and your layout somehow makes up for it. Then again, I would have to be in a sympathetic mood to credit you for your layout; most of the time, I don't.

I won't judge your diary on how many bonus links you have or how many ways of contact you have because that is just stupid. Bonus links are just that: a bonus. They won't garner you more points and neither would a lack of "extras" lose you points, because, firstly, you only have five points to score, and secondly, I can't be bothered going through all of those stuff, and especially not bad poetry, so yeah. But an 'about me' page is always useful.

I'm sure everyone is familiar with the five-star rating system, but just in case an idiot is reading this (ha, ha, ha) or if cultural differences make it difficult for us to think along the same lines, let me explain a little. One out of five usually means that you suck. Five out of five usually means that you deserve to publish a novel and win the Booker prize. An average score of two and a half means you're okay. Average. A three is usually good; three and a half a little more than good. A four dictates excellence.

Get the idea? It's not that difficult.
